Automated Warehouse Projects & Development Manager – Internal Only | Permanent | Elton | Salary - dependant on experience
As Automated Warehouse Projects & Development Manager you will be part of the Automated Warehouse Engineering Team, your role will be to develop and oversee the delivery of CAPEX and improvement projects in the Automated Warehouse. You will manage the major projects to update the critical technologies and assets whilst ensuring minimal disruption to site operations during the completion of all warehouse projects.
The Key Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within an automated warehouse on cranes and conveyor systems.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure if, for example, an entire PLC group is down, & a willingness to work unsociable hours when required
- Experience supervising & leading engineering teams driving continuous improvement
- In depth knowledge of Siemens PLC software – Simatic Manager and TIA Portal
- Understanding of IEC 61131-3 programming languages STL and SCL.
- Knowledge of programming techniques and best practices.
- Thorough understanding of industrial communication networks Profibus/Profinet.
- Ability to create in-house PLC programs/projects and commission using TIA Portal.
