Job Introduction
Batch and Furnace Bricklayer | Elton | Permanent | £35,000
Hours: Mon-Thurs - 07:00-15:45 and Fri 07:00-15:15
As Batch and Furnace Bricklayer, you will ensure the safe and efficient running of the furnaces by maintaining the day-to-day operations in the furnace areas. Your responsibilities will include ensuring energy input is always correct to ensure glass quality is maintained to the highest standard.
The Key Requirements
- Significant exposure in furnace operations and glass technology will be highly regarded.
- NVQ / City & Guild qualification level 2 or equivalent in Bricklaying favoured.
- Process control knowledge
- Technical engineering background
- Prior experience working in hot environments and mitigating the associated risks
