Are you looking for a new permanent challenge? Are you wanting to work for a world leader in Glass Manufacturing? On behalf of ENCIRC, Adecco are recruiting for a Cold End Engineering Maintenance Fitter to join the ever-growing, highly successful manufacturing plant in Derrylin, Northen Ireland.
Role Responsibility
Main Purpose of Role
Undertake all engineering maintenance activities inclusive of day-to-day breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance and installations.
Health & Safety Responsibilities;
- Ensure the work is carried out to health and safety regulations
- Make sure the correct PPE is worn at all times
- Ensure the correct procedures are applied for the task
- Risk assessments, method statements and permit to work
Maintenance Responsibilities;
- Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical services
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on conveyors, Line side Equipment and any other equipment as deemed necessary by management
- Safe isolation of electro-mechanical devices
- Use own initiative, knowledge and experience when designing, manufacturing and installing engineering plant and equipment
Housekeeping;
- Ensure the work area is clean and tidy; apply the “6S” model around site along with the clean as you go policy.
Principles of the team;
- To minimise main mechanical breakdowns throughout the plant, in the most cost effective and safest way possible.
The Ideal Candidate
- Recognised time served apprenticeship, city and guilds or BTEC in engineering
- Written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision
- Ability to work to deadlines
Experience;
- Ideal to have experience post qualification in a fast paced manufacturing environment

Work Pattern: Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm, Fri 7am-2.15pm
