  • Diagnosing faults and responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance
  • Working from technical and manufacturer drawings to complete maintenance and repair activities accurately
  • Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the plant by ensuring all work complies with Food Safety, Health & Safety, and site procedures
  • Collaborating with production and engineering colleagues to identify root causes of equipment issues and implement long-term solutions
  • Contributing ideas and recommendations to improve equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and overall plant performance

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds, ONC, HNC, or HND) in a relevant discipline
  • Proven maintenance engineering experience, ideally with 5+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong mechanical fitting skills with experience in fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Competent in fabrication and welding, including ARC and MIG processes
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical and manufacturer drawings
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality, and engineering excellence
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a desire to learn, improve, and make a difference
