ENGINEER APPRENTICESHIP | AVONMOUTH | National Apprentice Wage for Age

Ready to start your career? ENCIRC are recruiting for Engineer Apprentices to join the team, a high-tech, award-winning bottling plant in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Salary

  • Year 1: Sept – Dec £15,068.64 (£7.55ph full time college) Jan - Aug £19,958.47 (£10.00ph)
  • Year 2, 3 & 4: £19,958.47 – (£10.00ph for 18-20 years old) / £24,369.29 (£12.21ph for 21 & over) 

Main Responsibility:

This role will enable you to become a multiskilled trained Engineer working with mechanical and electrical components including: 

  • Pumps 
  • Motors, Including servos.
  • Gearwheels, belts, and pullies 
  • Invertors 
  • Conveyors 
  • Encoders 
  • Timers 
  • Contactors 
  • PLC’s 
  • Safety Circuits
  • Isolators 
  • 3 Phase, 240volt, 110v and 24-volt AC/DC
  • Pneumatics cylinders, valves, and fittings

During your apprenticeship you will learn how to: 

  • Use a Lathe and a milling Machine.
  • Basic welding
  • Develop hand skills. (i.e. bench work with files, hack saws, marking out, drilling)
  • Test motors, drives, safety circuits, cables, pumps, vacuum systems, pneumatics cylinders and valves.
  • Fault finding
  • Source and create parts on site. 
  • 3D Printing

The Key Requirements:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C / 9-4 including Maths & English.
  • Have a desire to become a Multiskilled Engineer. 
  • Willingness to learn and follow instruction.
