Job Introduction
Engineer Supervisor | Internal Only | PERMANENT | £60,000 - £63,500
As the Engineering Supervisor you will report directly to the Engineering Manager within the Beverages team and oversees a team of 8 engineers. The primary responsibility is to achieve Line OEE targets in alignment with overall Group guidelines while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations. The position also involves managing day-to-day maintenance activities.
The Key Requirements
- MUST be currently working with the Beverages Engineering Department at Elton
- 3 year’s Engineering experience in Filling
- FMCG knowledge is essential, Filling Knowledge is desirable.
- Technical knowledge & understanding to be able to answer team member’s questions & doubts.
- S7 PLC
- Background in fault finding, planned and reactive maintenance essential.
- Strong management and organisational skills
- Responsible for the set-up, & maintenance of a ready use spares holding within the mechanical workshops
- Basic knowledge of PLC's including Siemens
- Lean and S5 manufacturing would be advantageous.
The Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of four engineers on shift, managing daily maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs across production, process, and packaging equipment.
- Ensure all plant and equipment are consistently maintained to meet optimal performance standards in line with company guidelines.
- Establish and achieve personal and team objectives through effective delegation and time management.
- Motivate, lead, and manage the team to meet targets and deliver measurable results.
- Provide strong leadership to former peers, maintaining professionalism and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Apply assertiveness and active listening skills to effectively communicate and resolve challenges.
- Demonstrate approachability and responsiveness to team needs.
- Exhibit flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commit to driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of growth.
