Job Introduction

General Maintenance Engineer | Permanent | £40,000 - £45,000

As General Maintenance Engineer, you'll have the ability to work on your own initiative without close supervision, you will be able to communicate and maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all levels and be able to use your own initiative, knowledge and experience when designing, manufacturing and installing engineering equipment.

As our next General Maintenance Engineer, you’ll be responsible undertaking all engineering maintenance activities inclusive of day-to-day breakdowns, planned preventative maintenance and installations, including fabricating/repairing all sizes of pipework, chutes and other equipment. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance on heating systems, compressors, motors, pumps, ventilation systems, fan assembly’s, drag chains, conveyors, elevators, crushers and any other equipment as deemed necessary by management.

The Key Requirements 

  • Recognised time served apprenticeship, City and Guilds or BTEC in Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years post qualification in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • HNC or equivalent preferred
