Glass Operations Support (Administrator)

Job Introduction

We have an opportunity for a Glass Support (Administrator) role to start ASAP 

Permanent Position

Responsible for the provision and coordination of a broad spectrum of administrative support to the Glass operation. Using the company’s recognised IT systems to ensure accurate and timely processing, to support the operation in planning and execution of all relative activities.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Document and report preparation for management information and projects using relevant business systems and MS Office software packages including; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Documents include correspondence letters, presentations, announcements and notices, meeting sheets and analysis reports
  • Capture and Analyse large data sets from manufacturing systems
  • Support and run production improvement projects
  • Update production systems and trouble shoot issues within the system – SIP, FENIX
  • Maintain and support the operations team on the internal non-conformance compliance system
  • Manage and support the shift teams on Gif Grafter Time management systems along with the absence line to ensure resources are adequately planned
  • Manage and support the Academy planning on statutory training for shift teams
  • Maintenance of office standards ensuring an effective office working environment and compliance with Encirc standards and clear desk policy
  • Ability to run and interpret production reporting
  • Prepare shift and department scorecards
 

The Ideal Candidate

Business Knowledge

Educated to a minimum GSCE standard 

Experience of handling sensitive & confidential information

Experience of working in a fast paced, rapidly changing, commercial & challenging environment preferably within an FMCG

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

Analytical & organised, at ease working with spreadsheets & manipulating statistical data

All aspects of the Microsoft Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience of working within a manufacturing setting

Ability to manage & prioritise an unpredictable work demand

Ability to prioritise key tasks & work under pressure

Package Description

Salary £25 000 / £27 000

Permanent Position.

Hours Mon-Thurs 8.00 / 5.00 pm & Friday 8.00 / 3.15 pm
