Packaging Operations Technician - Internal Candidates Only | 12 Month Secondment | Elton | £58,007.88 not inclusive of 2026 pay increase
As the Packaging Operations Technician you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficient, safe and continuous operation of the packaging systems across both furnace areas. Responsible for maintaining effective process operation, operational troubleshooting, and rapid escalation of engineering related breakdowns, this role ensures final product assembly is completed in line with safety and quality standards.
Reporting to the CE Team Manager, the role works closely with all areas of operations, including maintenance and quality teams to maximise uptime, reduce waste, and maintain high standards of product integrity and equipment performance.
The packaging operations technician holds supervision accountabilities for a small team of Palletiser Operators, ensuring that team performance, training and safety standards are consistently driven and achieved.
Key Requirements
- Experience operating and maintaining automated palletising machinery
- Familiarity with production KPI's, safety protocols and quality standards
- Competence in supervising or leading small teams
- Able to complete shift documentation and data entry accurately
- IT Literacy for reporting and basic control system interfaces
- Proven history of basic mechanical/electrical fault finding - desirable
