Job Introduction
Here at Encirc, we have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Management Systems (QMS) Technologist to join the Quality Team at our BRCGS AA+ state-of-the-art bottling site based in Bristol, where we supply well-known brands to all the major retailers.
As a QMS Technologist, your role is to support the development and implementation of Quality and Food Safety Systems ensuring compliance with legal requirements, GFSI benchmarked standards and individual customer requirements.
You will be part of a continuous improvement culture looking at all areas of product performance providing a source of innovation and competitive advantage for Encirc and its customers.
Main Responsibility
- Management of the site internal audit programme including, co-ordination of the audit schedule, auditor training, following up of corrective and preventative measures and reporting on all trends through the site KPIs
- Maintenance of the approved supplier list and raw material risk assessments
- Participate in the development of the HACCP-based Food Safety Program including facilitation of reviews, action tracking, validation of programmes for CCPs and pre-requisite programmes
- Development and delivery of tools and training material to cover both legislative hygiene qualification requirements and awareness of all relevant aspects of quality systems
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the QMS including risk assessments, corrective and preventative actions, gap analysis and verification activities
- Maintenance of the site's electronic document management and non-conformance reporting systems and reporting of relevant KPIs, acting as a key point of contact with site personnel
- Support the development and delivery of food safety culture initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the business
- Working cross-functionally to drive GMP and internal standards to ensure food safety and quality, health and safety and environmental are issues addressed within agreed timescales
- Participate in team initiatives and lead projects and where necessary deputise for the QMS Manager.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a Technical role or food manufacturing and beverage environment
Ideally educated to a degree level in a Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition or a related discipline
Good knowledge of QMS, and ability to interpret GFSI Standards and customer code of practices
Internal auditing qualification and/or demonstrable experience
Knowledge and experience of HACCP and ability to apply the principles
Excellent communication skills to support supplier and customer interaction and business development activities
Highly organised and able to prioritise
Be self-motivated and keen to develop, with a willingness and desire to learn.
Package Description
Salary: £30,000
