Utilities Engineering Team Manager

Job Introduction

Utilities Engineering Team Manager | Internal Only | PERMANENT | £50,000-55,000

As the Utilities Engineering Team Manager you will report directly to the Utilities Manager within the Beverages team and oversees a team of 3 Engineers and 2 Technical Operators. You will be responsible for both the process and utility operations maintenance strategy to achieve uptime targets while ensuring strict compliance with industry and site regulations. The position also involves managing day-to-day maintenance activities. An amount of project planning will also be required to bring key CAPEX projects in on time and budget.

The Key Requirements

  • 4 year’s technical experience in a Filling environment
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar is essential
  • FMCG knowledge is essential, Process   Knowledge is desirable
  • Technical knowledge & understanding to be able to answer team member’s questions & doubts.
  • Good knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance essential
  • Strong management and organizational skills 
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite and SAP
  • Lean and S5 manufacturing would be advantageous.
  • Experience Managing CAPEX projects

The Key Responsibilities  

  • Supervise and support a team of engineers and technical operators, manager daily maintenance tasks, fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs across process and utilities plant and equipment.
  • Responsibility for both the process and utilities operations maintenance strategy
  • Assist with planning of and oversee the installation of CAPEX projects
  • Motivate, lead and manage the team to meet targets and delivery measurable results
