Continuous Improvement Manager | PERMANENT | £55,000 - £58,500 DOE

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Continuous Improvement Manager to join our award-winning team at The Park. A key member of our site Operational Leadership Team, you will use your skills to take a winner of UK’s Manufacturer of the Year to unprecedented levels of Operational Excellence. Help unlock the ideas from our four hundred passionate colleagues that will drive our process efficiency to never seen before levels of OEE. Be part of a team that has won UK Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year 4 times & help drive a sustainability strategy that already includes our own wind turbine with future plans for solar, batteries and thermal recovery.

You will be responsible for driving and facilitating continuous improvement within operations, lean implementation, and employee involvement. The primary objective of the role is to coach and influence employees at all levels whilst implementing and sustaining a beneficial Lean culture within Operations. 

To be successful in this role you will use your previous experience working in a fast-paced operational environment to produce measurable operational productivity gains and alignment with yearly budget plans and lean enterprise objectives. Using your skillset, you will influence the organisation to be increasingly ‘lean’ through improved policy deployment, problem solving, value stream thinking and workplace organisation while focusing on increased participation in 5S across site, to facilitate better process performance and consequently wastage elimination.

The Key Requirements 

  • Extensive experience of Lean implementation in manufacturing operations, with strong demonstrable knowledge of Lean Production Tools
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt, Lean Coach or equivalent qualification, i.e. Post Graduate study in Business Improvement Methodologies, particularly Lean or Six Sigma
  • Use the DMAIC and IDOV(E) methodologies to structure improvement projects.
  • Bring the Lean Principles and company values to life in your work.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and coaching skills
  • Take the initiative to problem solve, challenge & improve to deliver the agreed targets.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Professional approach, demonstrating flexibility and ownership.
  • Solutions focused and self-motivated.
  • Operations or Engineering background with solid understanding and experience of Operations Management, including Maintenance, Safety and Quality

Encirc, entered a deal with Accolade Wines, one of the world’s leading premium wine producers, and purchased the assets of ‘The Park’ in Bristol on 1 February 2023. ‘The Park’ is a multi-award-winning bottling facility, employing over four hundred people and producing twenty-five million 9L case equivalents of wine each year. Our state of the art and highly mechanised manufacturing and blending plant has six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute. The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²) with the largest fleet of reach truck Automated Guided Vehicles in the World!
