Engineering Maintenance Planner - Internal only
Elton | Permanent | £32,000 - £35,000 | Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-3.15pm
We are looking for a proactive and driven Engineering Maintenance Planner to lead maintenance planning activities within our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maximising equipment reliability, minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement across engineering operations.
You will take ownership of the CMMS (PRISMA), coordinate planned maintenance activities, analyse engineering performance data, and work closely with production, engineering teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure operational excellence.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, technical understanding, and a passion for improving maintenance performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and optimise the use of the PRISMA CMMS system to support efficient engineering maintenance activities.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all preventative and planned maintenance work to minimise operational disruption.
- Analyse maintenance KPIs including UMD, MTTR and MTBF to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to prioritise and deliver maintenance activities effectively.
- Manage maintenance resource requirements including labour, spare parts, and equipment availability.
- Coordinate suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Maintain engineering documentation, manuals, drawings, and records within SharePoint and CMMS systems.
- Lead and facilitate engineering planning meetings and provide regular KPI reporting.
- Support and deliver CMMS training for new and existing users.
- Contribute to EH&S improvements, risk reduction initiatives, FMEA activities, and critical spares analysis programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by challenging existing processes and implementing sustainable solutions.
