ENGINEERING SPARE PARTS LEADER - INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY | Location This role can be based at any of our 3 sites Bristol, Derrylin or Elton |PERMANENT | £48-52K Depending on experience
The Engineering Spare Parts Leader is responsible for developing and managing a robust, cost effective spare parts strategy across the 3 sites. The role ensures the availability, optimisation and governance of engineering spares to support high equipment uptime, minimise production downtime and deliver consistent standards across all locations.
This position leads the spare parts lifecycle from sourcing and stocking through to obsolescence and supplier performance while working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance teams.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8-5 Fri 8-3.15 39.5 hours
The Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in maintenance, engineering stores or spare parts coordination - preferably across multiple sites
- Strong understanding of engineering components, maintenance planning and asset management principles
- Experience with CMMS/ERP systems eg SAP, Maximo, Infor or similar
- Knowledge of supplier management, procurement processes and logistics principles
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
- Technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation spare parts
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Data-driven decision making and analytical thinking
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Collaboration and stakeholder management across engineering, supply chain and procurement teams
- Continuous Improvement mindset and ability to work independently across multiple locations
