Main purpose of the role:
As the Head of Operations, you will lead and manage all operations at Elton beverages ensuring delivery of the business strategy is delivered through the site operations. The role will be responsible for Production, Engineering, Health and Safety, Environment, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement. The role is responsible for all budget management across these functions which is in excess of £30 million per year.
The role will be a primary lead with other functional leaders to ensure Elton Beverages operations are designed and delivering the requirements of the customer. You will operate as a senior leader of the business providing effective support, advice, guidance and coaching to all employees and managers in order to maximise high levels of people management, development support and drive a high performing and continuous improvement culture.
Key accountabilities:
- Leadership of Health and Safety culture, strategy and agenda to ensure that safety is the priority of all on site.
- Leadership of Continuous Improvement culture, strategy and agenda at Elton Beverages ensuring the right focus on processes that will deliver greatest value in the eyes of the customer.
- Leadership of all site operations and efficiency ensuring volume, cost and revenue targets are achieved.
- To drive the Environmental performance of the department to ensure Elton Beverages is an industry leading sustainable operation across all appropriate metrics.
- Leadership of Quality culture, strategy and agenda to ensure customer’s quality needs and regulatory compliance are met and justified complaints remain below agreed target.
- Delivering industry leading service for our customers by ensuring the operations functions are optimised and continuously improved.
- To deliver accurate and concise monthly reports across all areas of responsibility that ensure other stakeholders are informed of key trends and performance status.
- Proactively lead, manage and successfully deliver complex cross functional projects that will deliver agreed strategic initiatives.
- Lead the development of improving the overall engagement of the operations employees ensuring Elton Beverage is an employer of choice.
- Developing and maintaining good relations with the recognised trade unions and leading negotiations.
