Operations Shift Manager | PERMANENT | £ Competitive
As Operations Shift Manager - Shifts you will develop, lead and manage a multi-disciplined team within the operations department. Full ownership of Restitution, Yard Management & Environmental Services, in a manner that will make the team consistently achieve the targeted levels of performance. Responsible for bulk wine movement on site, restitution, recycling, whilst offering support to the shift based OSM. To develop a team spirit that is consistent and supportive of the Company values. To continuously challenge, innovate and improve the department performance through the implementation of a Lean culture and operational philosophy.
The Key Requirements
- Fully understand the philosophy of all control systems within manufacturing and retain and utilise this knowledge and skill
- Demonstrates Health and Safety understanding and compliance
- Relevant IT system knowledge
- Ability to obtain information and identify key subjects required to understand strategic issues
- Understanding of Lean Processes
- Supervisor/Management qualification desirable (e.g. ILM3)
- Health and Safety qualification desirable
- Previous relevant management experience
The Park is a multi-award-winning bottling facility, employing over four hundred people and producing twenty-five million 9L case equivalents of wine each year. Our state of the art and highly mechanised manufacturing and blending plant has six packaging lines and the capacity to produce 1,200 bottles of wine every minute. The Park is also home to the largest wine warehouse and distribution centre in Europe (80,000m²) with the largest fleet of reach truck Automated Guided Vehicles in the World!
